About ScheduleFA

ScheduleFA is a free, open-source tool that generates the Schedule FA section of the Indian ITR-2 return from your Fidelity NetBenefits exports. It was built by engineers who file this every year and got tired of doing it by hand in a spreadsheet.

Why it exists. Filing Schedule FA manually means looking up the SBI TTBR for every RSU vest and ESPP purchase date, finding month-end prices to compute peak balance, and entering 15–30 rows into the ITR utility. It takes hours and is easy to get wrong. ScheduleFA turns three CSVs into a complete, correct Schedule FA in seconds.

Our principle: your data never leaves your device. Everything runs in your browser. There is no server, no upload, no account. Your holdings and transaction history are parsed locally and discarded when you close the tab. The SBI TTBR rate table and stock price data are bundled into the app itself — no external API calls with your numbers.

What we are not. We are not chartered accountants, not affiliated with Fidelity, and not affiliated with the Income Tax Department. ScheduleFA is a calculation aid. Always review the output with a qualified professional before filing.

Correctness. We apply Rule 115 (SBI TTBR on the exact event date), calendar-year accounting (Jan–Dec, closing on Dec 31), per-lot Table A3 rows, and ESPP FMV initial value. The methodology is documented and the code is open for inspection on GitHub.
